FAQs
Do you provide telehealth ? Yes, once an appointment is made, you will access the link through your patient portal (https://www.valant.io/myio/PeacefulPlacePsychiatry). Click on “Check in”, then wait until it asks you to “Join Session”. Please ensure that you are in a safe environment (not driving or in a public space where others can hear). I also ask that you turn off your alerts on your phone and close screens if you’re on your laptop so as to minimize distractions or potential dropped calls.
What if I’m more comfortable in person? I offer in person appointments on Tuesdays at my current location, 8929 Shady Grove Ct, Gaithersburg, MD. There is plenty of parking and is conveniently located close to the Shady Grove Metro station (I hope to open a location in the Towson area soon).
Which insurances do you accept? Medicare, Cigna, Optum, United Healthcare, Aetna, Carefirst.
What is your cancellation policy? I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. The charge for a late cancellation or a no-show is $95, which is expected to be paid prior to your next appointment.
What if I’m in crisis or feel it’s an emergency? Please do not call the office if this an emergency. Use the numbers below or go directly to the Emergency Room.
